Are you bored with your cup of herbal tea? Join us for an evening of healthy and tasty fun as we explore unique and delectable ways to take herbal medicine.
Get inspired during this special evening with Juliet Blankespoor, founder of the Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine, and avid wildcrafter, herbal gardener, and wild foodie.
Juliet will share some her favorite recipes for herbal mocktails, featuring some wild and native plants from our local Sierra Foothill ecosystem. You will have the opportunity to sample a wide variety of concoctions made with simple syrups, herbal bitters, and infused salts. Juliet will demonstrate various ways to make these tasty herbal drinks as stand alone beverages, digestive bitters, nervous system tonifiers, and more.
You will leave with the know how to make these preparations at home, and a list of recipes to replicate or embellish with your own creativity.
Locally crafted, wild food appetizers will be served to complement this evening of tastings!
